Mother's Day 2013 brought a few special treats for us- a visit from Kristal, Ryan and their kids, Marty's 27th Birthday, and a Skype visit with our missionary, Karli!
We missed Gary and Kelli- (who were at home with sick kids),
and of course, Marty, Sarah, and Michael in Utah.
But all in all- a nearly perfect day!

This little guy was super excited to come to Nana and Papa's house since his recent fascination with Harry Potter. Kristal had told him that we had a Harry Potter costume at our house. Their family arrived at 10 pm Saturday night and the first thing out of Ky's mouth was, "Where's Harry Potter?" He had to wait till Sunday morning where he immediately dressed up in the costume, complete with Harry's wand.
Once I found Harry's quidditch broom- he was in heaven!
Didn't take long for Harry to morph into Peter Pan ( another favorite costume dress up) and give Caden a turn at Harry Potter. But Caden said this costume wasn't Harry Potter and wouldn't wear it- he was expecting a Harry Potter Gryffindor robe. Unfortunately when Michael was Harry Potter for Halloween Book #1 was the only book out and the striped shirt WAS Harry Potter!
Mother's Day got better and better with some awesome photos right after church

After a yummy dinner prepared by the guys, the moms were treated to some fabulous gifts.

A loving thought jar prepared for me by Kristal with special thoughts about me from all my children and grandchildren! What a treasure! So special to read all their comments!
Me and one of the best moms I know - our darling Kristal!
As if things couldn't get any better- we got to skype with our missionary Karli from Florida!
Here she is showing us her Florida attire- compliments of a package from Aunt Karen!

We got to talk to and wish this guy a very Happy Birthday! Sorry you had to share it with me on Mother's Day, Marty- but that's what Mother's Day is all about- celebrating being a mother- which you made me for the third time- 27 years ago this day!
What a great day it was!
Thanks everyone for the special calls, gifts and thoughts!
Also need to honor this guy- who at a school district dinner in May, received
a special service award for teaching 25 years!
Has it been that long already? (a quarter of a century!)
Where has the time gone?
Here's to a great teacher, whose students love him!
