Early August brought a family tragedy to the Miller family.
Cousin/niece, Lora Lynn McIntosh, had an accident while working at the Davis Rec Center.
She bumped and cut her head and spent a couple of days in the hospital recuperating.
A few days after she came home, in fact on her 42nd birthday, she had a stroke
and returned to the hospital, falling into a coma and never recovered.
Her brain scan showed no activity in the major part of her
brain and family members prayed and met together to decide to let nature take
it's course and let Lora move on.
Lora passed away on the morning of Monday August 12, 2013.

Such an unexpected and sad tragedy in our family. Her funeral brought many family members together as we paid tribute to this special spirit of Heavenly Father. It was a beautiful funeral service and a time to remember Lora; her wonderful spirit and loving nature. She was definitely her own person with great energy and a huge capacity to love. She was interested in many things and loved to serve others- having served 5 service missions for the church. She will be greatly missed, but we rejoice in the fact that a body and brain that was handicapped on earth is now a spirit- free from all those limitations.

It was a beautiful service with wonderful talks by Lora's brother, uncles, Lora's Bishop and music by Aunt Judy and niece, Chelsea, as well as poetic and musical tributes by friends of Lora's mother, Judy, and cousins who sang "Families Can Be Together Forever". The Relief Society provided a wonderful luncheon for the family. No Miller family gathering would be complete without some sort of game. Thanks to Jacey for starting a fun circle game that uncles, aunts, cousins all enjoyed following the luncheon.

Her loving family once again moves her casket to her final resting place at the cemetery.
Who is Lora Lynn's favorite Uncle? That was a question that was brought
up throughout the day. Looks like they all think they are #1-

Later in the day we gathered in Heber at Judy and Robert's home to
visit and spend time together.
Lora would have loved to have been there with us- we missed her.

And no Miller family gathering would be complete without a pinochle game!
We were grateful we could be there to pay tribute to Lora. It is hard to believe she is gone and we miss her so much, but know that she is with her Heavenly Father and
keeping Him busy there with her engaging, energetic personality! :)
