I was feverishly working to download our summer photos and update our blog when our computer crashed. It seems to do this every summer, just after Marty returns to school. Hmm- could the two events be related? Our computer does get a workout every summer with Marty's crazed playing of some sort of War Combat computer game. Maybe the old computer had just one too many machine gun rounds! Our desktop has been out of commission for about one week now- so I am forced to use Gary's laptop and download everything again. I WILL get our amazing summer documented on our blog --eventually!
On our way to the Kuhre reunion in Brighton, we were able stop and visit John and Cyd's new cabin on Legacy Mountain. What a beautiful place! Take a look at this amazing cabin.

Everybody has these cool jeep-like vehicles for traversing the steep mountain roads. John let us take it out for a spin and all of us got to try our hand at driving it! So fun!

We also got to visit with Judy and Lora at their beautiful summer home in Mt. Pleasant. Don't ask me why we didn't get any photos of us at her place.
Major oversite. It, too, is such a lovely home.
We did have a chance to drive to Ephraim (about 15 minutes away) and visit the gravesite of our great great grandparents, Martin and Trine Kuhre. Marty had never had the opportunity to visit the gravesite of his namesake. It is always a very humbling experience to visit the Old Pioneer Cemetery on the outskirts of Ephraim. The cemetery is the final resting place of so many good Danish pioneer immigrants who gave everything they had to come to Zion. I always love going there --but why is it everytime I have been there the sky is dark and gloomy, just like in this photo? Strange!
What a great way to begin our vacation to Utah! Thanks John, Cyd and Judy!
