September 25, 2011- Brooklyn's 7th Birthday
About 9 years ago Karli and I discovered a charming book called "Flower Fairies", by Cicely Mary Barker. It just might be my favorite book of all time. We fell in love with the sweet little drawings and poems of the flower fairies. Take a look at some of them.
Aren't they precious?

We loved them so much that we chose " flower fairies" as the
theme of Karli's 9th birthday party.

So, I was very excited when Kristal chose a flower fairy theme for Brooklyn's 7th birthday party. I pulled out all my old decorations and Kristal came up with some wonderful new ideas for a fabulous birthday celebration for our beautiful Brookie.
Brooklyn's birthday guests got to choose what flower fairy they wanted to be and
were given a beautiful flower headband to wear.
Brooklyn chose her favorite flower fairy- Sweet Pea
The luncheon table -each guest received the flower of her fairy
Kristal read the girls a fairy book, they went on a fairy hunt for their fairy wings and they made their very own flower fairy to take home.
The gorgeous flower fairies and Caden, who assumed the role
of the Thistle fairy for the party! He wouldn't take off his wings all day!

The flower fairy keepsakes that each party guest made
Even Nana got to be her favorite flower fairy- Cornflower

What a fun party it was!
After the party Brooklyn opened some gifts from Nana and Papa
Her very own "Flower Fairies" book and an Easy Bake Oven!
and one of her most favorite gifts from the party guest she wanted most to be there but couldn't make it-Karli
The grandkids made sure they had "Papa"time.
Don't you love the way Ky is poking Papa's eyes?
Poor Papa takes a beating sometimes--but he loves it!

We finished the day with the traditional birthday "Tunnel of Love". Wouldn't be a Miller birthday party without it! With so many "spankers", Brooklyn had to move pretty fast!
Thanks for letting us be a part of your birthday celebration, Brookie! Not only did we have a wonderful time, but I think the fairies must have been very pleased too. Some of them have taken up residence in Brooklyn's backyard. She has built them little houses, leaves them notes and they actually write back to her, telling her all about their fairy adventures! I think those flower fairies love you as much as we do, Brookie. You are such a sweet girl! Enjoy being 7 years old!
