Mission Farewell

Karli gave her mission farewell talk in our home ward on February 10, 2013.  

 We were so happy that so many family members could be here for it.

 

We enjoyed a quiet weekend at home with Kristal and Ryan's family and Gary and his two children.  Kelli stayed home as she was experiencing a few labor pains and was a couple weeks away from delivery. 

 We had fun just hanging out together and going on walks around the neighborhood.

These kids were fascinated by some junk metal in the vacant lot in our neighborhood and ran ahead of us to play.  Poor little Ky Ky got stuck in the mud and couldn't get out.  Caden literally had to pull him out of his shoes to get him out- only to find out that he stepped in thorns (goat heads) making his way to the street.  Kristal rescued him and picked out all the burrs- no wondering he was crying!  What a mess!

On Sunday Karli gave a beautiful talk at her mission farewell!  We were so glad that Grandma and Grandpa could come up for it , as well as Aunt Joanne. 

 The Fry family was here too.

A couple of weeks later we held a small gathering in our home on
 Sunday night- February 24, for our Ward Family.

 Lots of people dropped by to see Karli and have some treats.

 Karli got to say goodbye to some very special people.

 Karli's Bishop- Bishop Hatch (who didn't want to make her feel
 short so he squatted for the photo) and the Gilstraps

 The Welker's- Sister Welker was one of Karli's YW leaders and friend, Sierra

 The Keele Family- Sister Keele was Karli's awesome seminary teacher for two years!

The Nanamura and Ivancovich Families- whom Karli has know since she was a baby. 

It was wonderful to feel the support of so many of our ward family members

So this is nearly it for this girl- a couple more weeks and she is off to Provo to

 enter the MTC as a missionary for the Lord!  Is she excited?  You bet she is!
