We had an extra special treat this past weekend. Kristal and two of her children popped in for a visit. The Moberly men (Caden included) were headed up to Bass Lake for their annual fishing derby, so Kristal, Brooklyn and Kyson spent the weekend with us.
It was a pretty quiet weekend- we mostly just hung out and had fun together. It was a weekend full of bike rides. Brooklyn recently mastered riding a two wheeler. She's a pro at it! She and Kyson brought their bikes from home and we rode and rode around the neighborhood. Kyson got a little help from Michael and Brooklyn had some fun rides with Nana, Papa and her Mom.
This little guy had so much fun riding Papa's big bike. He loved when Papa would ride on the sidewalk and head toward the bushes and graze past them, with the branches brushing up against his legs. He thought it was so funny-- he couldn't stop laughing!
The kids always make time for jumping on the trampoline. This time we added some bubbly soap to make things a little slippery!
Brooklyn and Ky braved the cold waters of the pool. Brrr! They get the award for the first ones in this year!
Meanwhile Caden and Ryan were having a great time at the lake.
I think Daddy has made a fisherman out of Caden. What a catch!
We finished off the weekend with a much belated birthday celebration for Michael. We were a bit late- nearly a month, but he was at school on his birthday and we wanted to have him home to celebrate together. It had been two years since we were able to do that. It was fun to have Kristal, Ryan and their kids with us for the party!
