Spring Break 2013

We spent our Spring Break down in Menifee with Gary and Kelli to help them with
the new baby and kids.  On our way down we stopped off a night in Simi Valley and got
to see this little guy play his first baseball game of the year.
 Go Caden!

The week at Gary and Kelli's was pretty laid back- we did a lot of baby holding, playing
with the grandkids and made a few dinners. S.t Patrick's Day happened to be during the week we were there and a leprechaun left lots of cool treats for Avery and Aiden.

One afternoon we took the kids to the park and had fun!

 Papa and Aiden sliding together

Avery was very brave and climbed this big rock wall.  Once she got up, she wasn't so
sure how to make it down- so Papa rescued her. Thank heavens for Papa!

Papa also helped Scoutmaster Gary build an "Arrow of Light " bridge with his scouts.  They use this bridge for a "Crossing the Bridge "ceremony in Scouting where a Webelo Scout moves on to become a Boy Scout.  The former Scoutmaster promised he'd make a bridge, but it never happened- so it was left up to Gary to figure out.  Dad came to the rescue and cut all the wood and got it ready for Gary's Scouts to build--and just in time since they needed the bridge the following night at an "Arrow of Light" ceremony!
Future plans include painting it and writing the Scout values on the planks.

I enjoyed spending my days doing this:

Looks like Aiden is enjoyed holding baby Reagan too.  He has learned to be much more gentle with the baby.  If you've seen the Facebook video of Reagan's homecoming- you'll know what I mean.  If you haven't seen it- I can email  it to you- it's a classic-
 it's "Funniest Home Video" material!

We took Avery to the dentist for Gary and Kelli- where she got two cavities filled and was an excellent patient.  We also gave Gary and Kelli a night out to dinner while we watched the kids.  Baby Reagan is still struggling with stomach issues and needed a lot of TLC during this time.  We were sad to say goodbye- but left a day early to go to Grandpa's house and do some yard work for him.  Then it was back to Porterville where I helped decorate for a wedding reception. A very busy, but fun Spring Break!

We came home to this!
Two of Gary's students (who are also his basketball stats) tee-peed our front yard with "Mr. Miller sayings" and references to the season finale of "Pretty Little Liars" (which we taped- but had not seen yet)- a teeny bopper TV series that Karli got us hooked on a couple of years ago.
We are probably the only two adults in the country who have to watch "Pretty Little Liars"!  :)
