Final Weekend Fun

We had a great weekend (September 19-20) here in Porterville where everyone gathered to spend a few last days with the almost Elder Miller before he left for his mission. Michael had his sacrament meeting "farewell" on Sunday September 20, where he spoke, his Dad spoke and Kelli sang. They all did a beautiful job. He had fun spending time with family and friends. He went to Magic Mountain on friday night for a last hurrah with his high school gang. We spent some time on Saturday watching Karli at her tennis tournament and hanging out as a family:

He made time for wrestling with Brookie

Michael was amused by Caden's affection and obsession for this LONG haired blonde Barbie. Caden is a totally "modern male" tapping into his "feminine" side with Barbie in one hand and his "macho" side with a sword in the other. He was thrilled when Nana told him he could take this Barbie home with him.
We made some time for a few family photos. Ryan even stayed dressed (usually he is the only one in the after church photo in a T shirt). Unfortunately we were missing Marty and Dad...he was doing his Bishop duties and I knew there was NO WAY everyone would stay dressed up long enough to wait for him to get home.

With Caden, Avery and Brookie...they will be all grown up by the time he sees them again!

Last photo of the Miller/Moberly men (minus Marty) for awhile

It was a great weekend and we are so grateful that you all could be here to wish Michael well!

  1. It sure was a wonderful weekend and we wouldnt have missed it for anything! We are so glad we got to spend a few extra hours enjoying Michael and making some new memories! Caden is also so grateful to have his new favorite toy (the barbie, who he has named Papa Friend) home with him. He has been toting her around everywhere and sleeping with her every night. He especially enjoys stroking her long blonde hair. :)
